Preschool

Happy New Year! December was a short and busy month at school! During Jesus Time, the preschoolers learned about our Savior's birth as they heard the Christmas story. We also did lots of practicing for the Christmas service. Circle Time focused on the sights, sounds, and colors of Christmas. The boys and girls enjoyed listening to Christmas stories and playing some Christmas games.
For the second semester at school we will concentrate on getting the Pre-K4 class ready for kindergarten. We will work diligently on letter and number recognition, writing skills, math concepts, Literacy Link, colors, and shapes. Furthermore, the students will learn their phone numbers, last names, and the alphabet in writing. They will also practice printing their numbers, letters, and using a scissors.
The Pre-K3 class will have lots of learning to do, as well. We will continue to work on colors and shapes. We will practice counting and identifying numbers, and begin printing names. In addition, we will continue to expand our attention spans, getting ready ofr the next school year and our Pre-K4 program.
