At St. John's we know that learning can happen outside of the formal school day. We work hard to offer as many opportunities as possible for students to explore their God-given talents.
Extra Curricular Opportunities
-
Band & Choir
With the benefit of a full-time music instructor, our students can participate in choir or band. We offer the Lambs choir for 1st-4th grade students and the Hallelujah Singers choir for our 5th - 8th grade students.
Beginning in 5th grade, students can choose to learn an instrument. We work through a local music store to provide instrument rentals and our full-time muisc teacher, Mrs. Esther Hesse, works one-on-one with lessons at no additional cost to our students. Throughout the year, those learning an instrument will participate in two concerts to showcase their growing talent.

After School Learning
There are many opportunities to extend classroom learning to a fun, creative after school activity. We try to make a variety of activities available for families to participate in. And, you do not need to be a student here at St. John's to be part of these programs and clubs. Popular offerings include French Club, Art Club, Odyssey of the Mind and the national program Club Invention. Interested in something that we may not offer? Just ask! We welcome new opportunities for your student to grow!

Drama & Forensics
Our students love to share their talents on the stage! Students in our Middle School have the opportunity to act and sing in the spring musical production. We also offer a competitive Forensics team that competes with other area schools.
Our Elementary students work with our music instructor for their annual spring performance. Additional dramatic performance is offered through our Youth Ministry leader. They often perform during chapel and at other schools.
